Our philosophy

We think ANYONE can learn how to use a computer and get the most out of the Internet, regardless of age, education or previous experience. You are an absolute beginner?  So what?  Once you get started with one of our patient, friendly and experienced tutors, you will be surprised at how quickly you learn!

Do you want to be able to take advantage of cheap online shopping offers?

Are you sick of seeing all the website ‘www’ addresses on TV adverts and wondering what they mean and how to access the websites listed?

Fed up with your younger relatives (who seem to know all about computers) patronising you?

Feel ‘left out in the cold’ by the Information Technology and Internet Revolution?

Heard about eBay, YouTube and MySpace, but haven’t got a clue what they are or how to use them?

  • Individual and personal help and tuition, delivered in a friendly and encouraging way by experienced professional tutors in your home – is what we are all about.  Contact us today and see what we can do for you.
  • No exams or course work – go at your own speed and practice your growing IT skills to suit yourself
  • Have fun with your computer!

Our training and tuition programs are individual – to suit you.  We are not allied or affiliated to any government or local authority training schemes, and we will not force you to take exams or do course work; you learn what you want, at your own speed.  IT training courses run at Further Education colleges and Adult Education & Community Centres can be intimidating; often the software and computers used are out of date, and these types of courses are nearly always linked to some sort of paper qualification at the end.  The tutors on state-run courses are under pressure to get as many students as possible to complete coursework and sit the exams, as future funding in these institutions depends on  this.  It means that (as in schools), they have to ‘teach to the test’, regardless of the actual needs of the students who participate in the courses.  Often you will be in a class of up to 16-25 other ‘learners’, who may be at widely differing levels of skill and knowledge.  The tutor is unable to give you individual and personal help and tuition, and she or he will be more interested in completing the tick-lists at the end of the course than in providing practical and appropriate help and training.  We at Peakeasy Training are not circumscribed by government check-lists, targets, bureaucracy and interference.  Our enthusiastic and friendly tutors provide what you actually want - not what the government says you need!
